Hammock camping

Good fun! so i've spent 3 nights out in the woods and about 7 on my verandah. It's really a light weight way to camp as long as you can find two trees you can tie to (whch apparently is a fineable offence in some places).

So one of hte problem is without a pad i find the hammock somewhat uncomfortable, but with the pad its extra weight and also it doesnt even stay under you. I remember waking up on strathbroke with the pad on me and my back cold. So can't really think of a good solution at the moment, at least not one that makes financial sense yet.

Option 1. Buy those closed cell foam mats or a short self inflating one (exxy though)
Option 2. Figure a way to attach a pad holder to the bag. I'm still convinced that the pad inside will help the hammock out with shape better but perhaps it would be the same on the outside.

Recently been thinking about getting a sewing machien so i can do this modification + make a few shoulder bags and belt bags which look really useful. Too bad this zpacks.com guy went on a hike or id just buy them from him rather then try and make em myself.
